How Superteam KZ is Driving Web3 and Fintech in Kazakhstan — September Recap 🚀

September was a milestone month for the Solana ecosystem in Central Asia: we launched Kazakhstan’s first stablecoin, brought together a record number of hackathon participants, and took the stage at the country’s key fintech events.

September 3 — Side Event at Astana Finance Days

We held an official side event as part of Astana Finance Days, which brought together more than 180 participants — representatives of fintech, blockchain projects, investors, and government institutions.

September 5 — Panel Session at Astana Finance Days

Talgat Dossanov, Lead of Solana Superteam KZ & Founder of Intebix, spoke at the panel session “CryptoCity: From Vision to Value — Developing a Blockchain-Enabled Economy” together with Zhaslan Madiev, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan, Binur Zhalenov, Head of Digital Assets Projects at the National Bank of Kazakhstan, and Nurkhat Kushimov, General Manager of Binance in Kazakhstan.

The participants discussed the development of digital finance, Web3 platform regulation, and the role of blockchain in shaping the economy of the future.

September 12 — Solana Day Hackathon

We held the first national Solana Day hackathon in Kazakhstan. The results are impressive: 1,185 participants forming 514 teams started building real products on Solana — from DeFi platforms to tokenization solutions.

The best projects received grants and support for further development.

September 23 — Launch of EVO (KZTE)

Together with key partners, we introduced EVO (KZTE) — the first Kazakhstani stablecoin issued within the regulatory sandbox of the National Bank. EVO paves the way for new fintech services, secure digital payments, asset tokenization, and cross-border transfers.

Launched on Solana — one of the fastest and most energy-efficient blockchain platforms.

The project was implemented in partnership with the licensed Kazakhstani crypto exchange Intebix, as well as Mastercard and Eurasian Bank.

Digital Bridge 2025 — we are preparing presentations, announcements, and special activities to showcase Solana projects and the development of Web3 in the region.
