Welcome to the first-ever Superteam KZ monthly recap!

August was a month of firsts for us - from launching community events to scaling education initiatives, we took important steps to put Kazakhstan on the Solana map.

Superteam KZ’s mission is simple: empower builders, creatives, and entrepreneurs to learn, earn, and build in Web3 - while showcasing Kazakhstan’s talent to the world.

Monthly Highlights

First-Ever Solana Meetup in Almaty

On August 8, we hosted our very first community meetup in Almaty, bringing together over 50+ builders, entrepreneurs, and crypto enthusiasts.

The event ignited vibrant discussions about Solana, DeFi, and Kazakhstan’s role in the global Web3 movement. This kickoff gathering marked a historic start for Superteam KZ and laid the foundation for a thriving Solana community in Kazakhstan.

Partnership with Astana Hub: Launch of Education Program

On August 19, we officially launched the Superteam KZ × Astana Hub educational program, introducing the first cohort of blockchain learners.

In preparation for the launch, our team translated and adapted Solana’s Web3 curriculum into Kazakh and Russian and recorded localized video lessons. This made it possible to start the program with accessible, high-quality educational content tailored for our region.

The initiative is designed to give developers and students hands-on blockchain education, preparing them to contribute to the global Solana ecosystem.

Expanding Community & Ecosystem Building

Hackathon Prep → Kicked off planning for Solana Day, the largest blockchain hackathon in Kazakhstan (20+ cities + online).
Government Roundtables → Held strategy sessions with the Government of Kazakhstan and the National Bank of Kazakhstan about the upcoming launch of the first KZT-backed stablecoin on Solana.
We launched new bounties - including KZTX design, video production, and community-driven challenges - to bring more local creatives into the ecosystem.
Official launch of Superteam KZ social platforms: LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Telegram, Instagram, Discord, YouTube, and our website superteam.kz.
Media Partnerships → Partnered with The Tech media outlet, including an exclusive interview about Solana adoption and Superteam KZ’s role in building the ecosystem.
Grants for Builders → In August, we awarded 18 grants to founders and developers, providing a total of $60,000 in funding to accelerate early-stage projects on Solana.
Strengthened ties with startups, universities, and government stakeholders to spread awareness of Solana and Web3 opportunities.

Solana Day 2025 Prep → Massive multi-city hackathon (September 12).
Astana Finance Days - Side Event. Superteam KZ will also host a Solana-focused side event during Astana Finance Days 2025, bringing together innovators, policymakers, and investors to discuss the future of blockchain and decentralized finance in Kazakhstan.
Community Expansion → New meetups in Astana and Petropavlovsk coming soon.
Education Program with Astana Hub → Ongoing sessions for the first blockchain learners, moving from fundamentals to hands-on practice.
