Superteam KZ - January Recap

2026 started with strong momentum for the Solana ecosystem in Kazakhstan.
January was focused on one core mission: expanding the builder pipeline while strengthening institutional and financial infrastructure around Web3.
Here’s what we accomplished:
 

Institutional & Financial Infrastructure Progress

Work officially began under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between KASE and the Solana Foundation, focusing on:
• Tokenization of real-world assets
• Stablecoin infrastructure
• Blockchain-based capital market experimentation

Kazakhstan also reached a historic milestone as digital assets were formally integrated into the national financial system following presidential approval.
 

First Mastercard Settlement on Solana in Kazakhstan

Together with Intebix and Silkpay, Superteam KZ supported execution of the first Mastercard settlement using USDC on Solana.

Ecosystem & Education Expansion

We hosted a major builder meetup in Astana featuring hands-on workshops and technical onboarding sessions for developers and founders entering the Solana ecosystem.

Alongside this, Superteam KZ delivered Web3 and blockchain lectures at some of the country’s leading universities:
• Nazarbayev University
• Astana IT University (AITU)

These sessions continue building Kazakhstan’s next generation of blockchain developers and founders.

Community & Developer Growth

In January, Superteam KZ hosted a Developer Community Call together with Yona (privacy-focused DeFi on Solana), bringing together builders, founders, and contributors across the ecosystem.

We also welcomed three new members — each with strong execution backgrounds across product, DeFi, and infrastructure.

What Comes Next

• Increasing institutional collaboration
• Scaling developer education across the region

Kazakhstan is rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing Web3 builder hubs in Central Asia and we’re just getting started.
